5Viewpoint from a beginnerSep 22, 2006
By Ronald L. Peoples II "Peeps"
I bought these cause 1) their price and 2) it had everything I wanted... Now I am no expert but i can tell when a picture comes out clearer. I have taken the same picture with the filter and without the filter. I have found that the picture taken with the filter comes out much clear and crisper. I would have to disagree with the other reviewer. I don't know maybe his was scratched or something. I have seen no issues. Now I am sure that a hoya or a more expensive model would be better. I have no complaints with mine.

the UV was ok

the CP just left horrible scratches on my final prints

stay away, definitely, guys! Buy some Tiffen or Hoya instead, and you wont regret

5They workMay 01, 2009

I used these lenses and serve for the purpose.

The pictures I took during a trip were better than when using just the camera.
I'm not a pro or trying to be one. I receive the advice from a photographer that filters will help me to improve the quality of the pictures and they done.
I'm happy with the product.

5Glad I have theseFeb 29, 2008

These are great filters for this price. I have no issues with scratches or falling off my lenses....they seem to be a perfect fit. I own this kit in 52mm and 58mm and if I ever get lenses that require bigger filters I will buy this brand again. I can tell a difference with these filters in my pictures!

4Good for the priceJan 31, 2008

I purchased these about two months ago, and I must say I am pretty pleased with them. I haven't noticed any reduction in quality or clarity with these filters attached. I did some informal testing because I am an amateur, so I took several pictures with and without the filters. The circular polarizer filter I simply love and is easily my favorite. The FLD filter is ok in some indoor situations, but not in all. I use it in office buildings, libraries, and sometimes classrooms (at least university ones). The UV filter I almost never use because I couldn't really tell any difference that they made. Some may like to use it as a safeguard against scratches/dust since these filters are a lot cheaper to replace than a lens, but this leads to my only real gripe about these filters. They don't screw in tightly, I am always worried they will fall off and break since they seem kind of loose on the lens. I use a Canon 17-85 IS USM lens (with 67mm filter set) and a Canon 70-300 USM lens (with 52mm filter set), on both the filters feel loose, but I have never had them fall off (albeit I am quite careful when I use them). I think paying a bit more for higher quality filters may be worth it, but these filters are a great deal for the price.
