This remote works with the K20D. The Pentax wired remote I bought for almost 3 times as much doesn't. The connector for the Pentax model won't plug all the way into the camera socket. This does.
I can use auto focus, bulb mode, delayed exposure and and multiple exposure mode with this. I have mixed feelings about the 10 foot length. It's a bit bulky to pack, though I can imagine wanting to hide away from the camera when photographing wildlife. The Opteka remote seems well made. It will lock the exposure for bulb mode. All in all it's a good value.

I had trouble getting my camera to stay on over long periods and my wireless remote won't make it come alive. I missed many good wildlife shots. With the opteka cable I can hide and still get wonderful shots of wildlife even difficult night shots. Love it,

Got this for my K10D. Wanted an easy to use, inexpensive, cable release for tripod shots and time exposures. This fit the bill perfectly at an exceptional price considering what Pentax accessories too often cost. It has a very nice touch for when I want to focus versus when I to fire the shutter, and the locking feature is perfect for lightening and other night shots. In short, it was exactly as advertised.
