Great lens, great priceFeb 04, 2010

"Born To Shop"
What a great price for this lens - able to get up close to a wide format scene and get everything in the photo. Be careful to hold the lens level to avoid the "fish eye" effect on the edges of your photo. Not good for photos taken at a distance. The lens comes packaged very nicely with a lens hood and cap. Overall a great value.

Great LensJan 09, 2012
By Mark From Hull, MA I bought this lens after reading all the reviews and not wanting to pay the full price for a Canon lens. I am in Real Estate so getting close to photograph the outside of a property and getting a pan photo of each room in a house is very important. I think the lens quality is good. I am using this lens on a Canon Rebel T3. The one issue I have is that the lens is larger/bulkier at the front end than the 18-55 lens that came with the Camera. When photographing indoors with the original camera mounted flash, it leaves a half round shadow on the floor in the foreground. This means I have to shoot indoors without the flash, add a flash unit on the hot shoe or use another light source to illuminate the room.

My ViewFeb 18, 2010
By B. Ellis This has been an excellent addition to the camera. The filters are also a good deal. The tri-pod however is kind of a waste of time and money in my book. It is only about 6 inches tall and very unstable for me. Overall this is a good buy for the money and the store (47th Street Photo) is very up-front and honest. No problems, no delays.

By Linda R Evans I was heading on vacation to Sedona, AZ and wanted the wide angle lens for the trip. Unbelieveable - incredible photos I will cherish forever!!!
Pretty good lens. Price should be lower for image qualityMar 28, 2013
By Gloria W. The lens is good but gets a slight angular distortion in the corners at around 15mm or wider. I read a review that said that the manufacturer did not produce all the lenses of equal quality so I kept my fingers crossed that I would get one of the good ones. I haven't noticed any other problems with the lens and I suppose it is a fair trade-off in comparison to the $3000 Canon wide-angle Lens. I've seen awesome video of what the lower priced Panasonic Lumix 14mm prime can do and I was hoping for the same results (especially at a price of about $200 more for the Sigma) I was disappointed by the image / video quality comparison to the Panasonic lens but unfortunately they are not compatible with Canon. All-in-all... It is a decent lens for the price and definitely better than some snap on conversion lens.
